Nervous Conditions: Ch. 9

     Tambu gets a scholarship to go to a convent school called Sacred Heart, and her parents allow her to go.  Once back at the mission, Tambu discovers that Nyasha's eating disorder has turned into bulimia.  Once she finds out that Nyasha has been throwing up her meals in the bathroom, Nyasha explains that she is trying to discipline her body and occupy her mind.  

    Nyasha's nervous condition is her anxiety about the social aspects of her life.  Nyasha's anxiety has made her bulimic, and even leading her to starving herself completely.  Nyasha and Tambu's relationship has grown considering Tambu disliked Nyasha at first but now she doesn't even want to go back to Sacred Heart while Nyasha is in this state.
